Buying back lost pension

Back to step 4

Step 5

Reviewing your quote

If the lost pensionable pay was £100 and the member elects to pay by lump sum deduction (38 year old female) they would make one lump sum payment of £16.26. As the reason for absence is trade dispute/strike the employer will not make a contribution.

If the lost pensionable pay was £3,200, and the member elects to pay by regular contribution over 1 year (38 year old female) they would make a monthly payment of £13.98. As the reason for absence was unpaid additional child related leave the employer will pay 2/3rd of the cost but only if the application is made within 30 days of returning from absence.

Once you are happy with the quote you can print a copy to keep. You can then proceed with the application.

Step 5

Make an application

Complete the additional personal details, read the terms & conditions and tick the box, then click on “Print application”. This will produce your application form. Sign this and send it back to your employer who will arrange for your APC to start.
