WYPF picked up an award for our investment performance at the recent Public Treasurer Investment Awards 2002.

The award recognised WYPF for having the best investment return of all local authority pension funds in the field of Alternative ‘Private Equity’ Investments. The returns of all local authority funds were measured by the investment performance measurement experts, the WM Company, over the three years to 30 September 2002 who found that WYPF came out tops.

Red Dwarf and Brittas Empire star Chris Barrie presented the award to Malcolm Hardy, Vice Chair of WYPF’s Investment Panel at a glittering ceremony held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 4 November, along with Peter Warrington, Director of The WM Company, who also sponsored the award.
