Funding Strategy Statement

Sets out the funding strategy for the Fund, in accordance with Regulation 76A of the Local Governemnt Pension Scheme Regulations 1997.
Voting Policy
WYPF's Investment Advisory Panel has established a Voting Policy for the Fund's shareholdings in UK companies. The Voting Policy is based on the latest Shareholder Guidelines issued by the Pensions and Investment Research Consultants Limited (PIRC).

Voting activity reports
To supplement details of WYPF’s Voting Policy, shown are the latest four quarterly reports on the Fund’s voting activity on UK companies, Continental European companies, US companies and Japanese companies in which the WYPF has shareholdings. The decision to vote on Japanese companies was only taken in April 2007, so the first details of voting activity on Japanese companies will appear in the June 2007 quarterly report.
