West Yorkshire Pension Fund are aware of the initial outcome from the case Management hearing held on Weds 18th of December.
This is an interim decision with more meetings and information to follow. The Home Office will be working with partners including WYPF to arrange for the necessary amendments to be made to the scheme regulations, these amendments are not expected for several months.
This interim decision currently affects upcoming retirements for transition members and potential ill health retirements but WYPF need guidance from Home Office on how to deal with these cases which has not yet been received. Anyone considering retiring having met the age and length of service requirements of the 1992 Scheme should contact their local FBU officials before taking any action.
West Yorkshire Pension Fund are not able to deal with any requests at the moment covering the following:
- Full 1992 Scheme estimates for transition members
- Contribution Holidays
- Members who want to opt back in to one of the final salary scheme
- How your benefits will be adjusted following remedy
