My Pension, the new online account and the employer portals will be unavailable on Saturday 11 April during the morning while we do some system maintenance. We expect these services to be available again in the afternoon.
Why are we asking you to prove your identity?
We take data security very seriously. Unfortunately criminals and bad actors try to access online platforms with stolen IDs and personal information. To ensure that it's really you who is registering for your account, we've partnered with a specialist identity provider to secure your account from the very first moment.
What if I don't have any photo ID?
Unfortunately you won't be able to register online. Instead you'll need to call our Contact Centre on 01274 434999. They will be able to verify your identity in a different way, and then send you a special link to complete the registration process.
I don't have a device with a camera, what do I do?
No problem! Simply ask a friend or family member who has a mobile phone or tablet to sit with you while you register. You'll be able to complete your ID verification on their device, and then continue the process on your own computer once you've been verified.
You can also upload copies of documents if you have them, but we don't recommend doing it this way.
Where is the picture of my ID and selfie stored?
We keep your photo and ID pictures on a secure cloud server managed by our ID verification partner, GBG. After 30 days the images are deleted and only metadata about the verification process is kept.
Power of Attorneys
We’re not currently able to provide online portal access for Power of Attorneys (POAs). This is to help ensure that member data and records remain secure. We appreciate this may be inconvenient, and we’re sorry for any frustration this may cause.
We’re happy to provide information to a registered attorney in writing on request, and we will prioritise these requests wherever possible. If there’s anything specific you need, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
