Pensions dashboards information for employers and scheme managers

The Department for Work and Pensions is creating a Pensions Dashboards that will be free for all UK citizens to use to view their pension information securely, online and in one place, even if living abroad. We will be connecting to the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard. Money Helper is the government service managed by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).

The LGPS and FPS, as well as other public sector schemes, need to be ready to go live by the end of October 2025. This is called our 'staging date'.

The Pensions Regulator (TPR) will continue as the scheme's primary regulator and will be able to take enforcement action if schemes fail to comply with any of the requirements in the Pension Dashboard regulations. Fines for dashboard-related breaches can be up to £5,000 per individual scheme member breach and £50,000 in other cases.

We've been working with scheme managers and pension funds to agree technical points like matching criteria for members searching the dashboard. But there are a couple of really important things we will need employers and scheme managers to be mindful of over the coming months.

  • Accurate member data is essential, now and every month going forwards
  • Your monthly posting files must not be delayed
