The most serious ESG challenge we face

Climate

Among the ESG challenges facing the fund, climate change is arguably the most serious. The dangers of climate change have been flagged by central bankers and an increasing amount of regulation is based on the idea that climate risk is financial risk.

We recognise our responsibilities as a fractional owner of more than 1,000 companies globally and have measured the 'carbon footprint' of the fund. We have sought to engage with the most material of our investments to encourage businesses to decarbonise their operations and have also made considerable investments in clean energy and other climate solutions.

We have made a commitment to decarbonise our portfolio by 2050. Our approach is more fully described in our climate report.
